Kohlrabi with Side Kick Dippers
1 large kohlrabi
4 stalks of celery
1 small jicama
1 red pepper, seeded
2 small yellow squash
2 cups broccoli flowerets
1 cup snow pea pods
1/3 cup Sunny Seed Gomasio (see below)
Sunny Seed Gomasio:
Combine: 1 1/3 cup sunflower seeds, organic
1/3 cup sesame seeds, organic
1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
1/3 cup flax seeds, organic
Blend the above seed combination in a blender until
it becomes a fine powder. Store in covered container
in refrigerator. Use as a topping or seasoning.
Wash vegetables and pat dry. Peel, where appropriate
and cut up into equal size sticks.
Arrange on a large platter with a small bowl of Sunny
Seed Gomasio topping in the center. Roll or dip the
veggie sticks into the dry topping.
2 large cucumbers, chopped
l small red onion
1 med zucchini, chopped
3 med cloves of garlic, smashed
1 med green bell pepper
3/4 cup chopped fresh herbs: parsley, basil, chives
2 tbsp. lemon juice (if you’ve already completed
the first two stages and lemon juice is OK for you)
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground cumin seed
2 cups vegetable stock.
In a food processor, combine tomatoes, cucumbers, onion,
zucchini, garlic, and green pepper and process on high
until coarsely chopped.
Add herbs, lemon, oil, salt, cayenne and cumin. Process
a few more bursts. Blend in stock.
Transfer to a large bowl and refrigerate at least l hour
